#1000 Anemometer.
The Anemometer is useful in determining wind speed.  Made of corrosive resistant materials for prolonged outdoor use.  One cup is colored red for ease in determining the number of rotations.  The unit measures 220mm x 160mm.  Instructions provided.

#203  Barometer Tube.
A capillary glass tube 4mm ID x 860mm long that is sealed on one end.

Heavy duty glass bell jars are ideal fr studying the properties of matter under a vacuum or for isolating experiments from outside interference.  The wall thickness is approximately 6mm.  The domes measurements are taken from the inside.

BOYLES LAW APPARATUS
#204 Boyle's Law Tube, Glass parts only.
Used as a replacement for the Boyle's Law J-Tube apparatus.

#204-1 Boyle's Law Economy J-Tube Apparatus. 
This unit consists of a J shaped tube, meter stick, and cast iron base mounted to a wooden board.  This is used to demonstrate the relationship of pressure and volume.  Instructions provided.

#204-2 Boyle's Law Apparatus. 
A funnel tube and a stopcock tube, connected together by a piece of flexible tubing, run parallel to one another on aluminum rods.  This allows one of the tubes to be raised higher or lower than the other and then it's locked in place.  This unit stands vertical on top of a cast iron base.  Please note, mercury is not included. A heavy weight oil can be used as a substitute for mercury.

#305 Cartesian Diver.
A all glass constructed cartesian diver with a red band to make the diver more visible.

#305-1 Cartesian Diver Unit. 
Supplied with a Diver and Hydrometer Jar.  A diver is placed in a cylinder of water.  Pressure on the cap forces water into the diver causing it to sink.  Instructions are included.

#306 Centrifuge Machine.
This Centrifuge Machine is equipped with a clamp for mounting to a table up to 4cm thick. Made from enamel coated cast metal.  It will hold centrifuge tubes up to 15ml in capacity.  The unit is approximately 30cm tall.

#301 Cloud Forming Apparatus.
This apparatus duplicates atmospheric conditions during cloud formation.  It consists of a special glass flask with a rubber hose connection, pinch clamp, and large, thick walled, rubber bulb.  By compressing and suddenly releasing the bulb, a dense cloud forms in the flask.

#301-1 Cloud Apparatus, Bottle Cloud.
This cloud forming unit is mounted on an acrylic base, with two upright steel rods and a crosspiece to hold the stopper in place when air in the cloud chamber is under pressure.

#780 Coin & Feather Apparatus, with a Glass Tube (Guinea Feather Tube)

#780-1  Coin & Feather Apparatus, with a Plastic Tube (Guinea Feather Tube). 
The cylinder is capped with a hard rubber closure at each end with a hose connector at one end for air evacuation.  When the tube is inverted, and the air is removed, the disc and feather will fall at the same rate because the feather does not meet any air resistance.  Overall length 47"

#310 Conductivity of Solutions, (Conductivity Tester). 
For showing the electrical properties of liquids.  Consists of a molded socket on a PVC cover, provided with binding posts for connection of two wire cords.  Two electrodes are internally connected to the lamp circuit.  The cover is designed to fit a clear glass tumbler.  Light bulb, glass tumbler, and instructions sheets are provided.

#315 Conductivity Of Solutions with Plastic Jar
The unit the same as the #310, only provided with a plastic tumbler.

#303  Convection of Liquid, Glass Frame. 
The water filled glass frame is heated at the bottom corner.  When observed, the movement shows the circulation of a hot water system.

#303-1  Convection Apparatus for Gases.
The box has a glass front and two chimneys.  Smoke is introduced in one chimney and observed traveling down into the box and back out through the other chimney.  Instructions, smoke paper and candle are included.

#1081  Density Rod.
Demonstrates the varying densities in liquids due to temperature change.  The rod floats in cool water and sinks when the water is heated.  Also shows density variances between fresh and salt water.

#330 Dew Point Apparatus. 
Used to determine the dew point of the surrounding air.  Consists of a chrome tube on a plastic base, thermometer, air bulb, and inlet tube.  Instructions provided.

ELECTROLYSIS APPARATUS
#498 "Electrolysis Apparatus, Brownlee, with Jar.
This unit consists of an acid-proof, non-porous insulating supports with a spring clip for holding test tubes, binding posts and two platinum electrodes.  The supports fit a 4 1/2 x 5"" battery jar and holds 150mm x 18mm test tube.  Platinum electrodes and instructions are included."
#499 Electrolysis Apparatus, Brownlee, without Jar
#499-1 Electrolysis Jar, Molded Glass 4-1/2" D. x 5" H.

#499-2 Electrolysis Apparatus, Brownlee, New Design.                                                                                   This unit features several improvements over the standard Brownlee.  The open front spring clips make it much easier to remove the test tubes while the tubes remain submerged.  The test tubes have been graduated for a clear measurement of the volume of gas generated.  The black acrylic background aids in viewing the water level while supporting the test tubes.  The binding posts have been reposititioned for easy access and greater safety.  The unit measures 140mm x 203mm x 38mm.  Instructions included.

#500 Electrolysis, Hoffman.
Graduated arms 19" in length with stopcocks at the top make it possible for both qualitative and quantitive measurement of the effect of electric current on liquid.  Supplied with Support Stand, Burette Clamp, Platinum Electrodes and Instructions.  Graduated to 50ml in 0.2ml subdivisions.  Overall height is about 32".

EQUILIBRIUM APPARATUS

#650  Gas Diffusion Apparatus
This apparatus consists of two bottles connected with a glass tube.  A drop of hydrochlorid acid is placed in one bottle and ammonium hydroxide in the other.  When the colorless gases diffuse and meet, a white cloud forms.  Chemicals are not provided. Instructions included.

#791  Harbottle Apparatus. 
The Harbottle helps students understand the meaning of fluid pressure and pressure sreduction.  A Harbottle is a round, glass, container with a balloon stretched over its opening and a hole in the flattened base that is fitted with a rubber stopper.  Students are amazed when the balloon remains inflated inside the bottle even though it is not tied off or sealed.  Supplied with instructions.

#800  Hero's Engine.
The flask is partially filled with water and is suspended over a burner.  Rapid rotation takes place when the water boils.  Steam escaping from the pipes also illustrates the action-reactions principle.  Consists of chains with a swivel, a 250ml flask and a stopper.  Instructions provided.

#801 Hero's Fountain.  Graphic Fluid Pressure Demonstration.
For a dramatic presentation.  Just set up the Hero's Fountain, put it on the counter, and pour water in its top. The fountain will spout into the air for several minutes.  How does it work?  As water in the fountains top reservoir enters the lower bulb, which contains air, the air is forces up to the top bulb, compressing the air in that bulb, and forcing the water to spout out of the upper tube.  Entire unit is 50cm high.  Instructions are provided.

#802  Hot Water Heater Demonstration.
The apparatus is designed to demonstrate the operation of a low pressure steam heating system.  The flask in the demonstration apparatus corresponds to the boiler in a heating system, the tubes correspond to the steam and return lines, and the collection chamber corresponds to the radiator.  If colored water is used in the flask, it  can readily be seen that the water in the collection chamber is condensed steam by the fact that it has no color. Instructions provided.

#803  Hydraulic Press Demonstration.
The transmission and multiplication of forces through a hydraulic system can be observed in this glass model.  The force piston has a handle and a concave top for holding weights. Instructions provided.

#1299  Manometer, Vacuum and Pressure Gauge.
This unit is used to measure vacuum and pressure by means of displacement.  A manometer tube with arms one meter long are mounted on a wooden support with a cast iron base.  The glass tube is open on both ends.  Instructions provided.  Oil can be substituted for mercury.

MAGDEBURG HEMISPHERES
#805 Magdeburg Hemisphere.  Made from rubber 3-1/4" diameter (set 2) With instructions.

#806 Magdeburg Hemisphere, Cast Iron.
Machined from cast iron, this is an excellent replica of the traditional Magdeburg Hemisphere.  One of the hemispheres contains a mounted brass valve for withdrawing and sealing a vacuum. Instructions provided.

#810 "Miniature Magdeburg Hemisphere.
This is a fine quality but less expensive version of the popular vacuum demonstration apparatus.  Air is forced from the disk after being placed face to face.  The disks are then very difficult to pull apart, showing the strength of air pressure.  2.5"" in diameter. Instructions provided.

#1401  Neon Wand.
The neon gas glows with brilliance when the tube is held in or passed through a high frequency or high voltage field.  Instructions provided.

#1505  Archimedes's Principle Bucket and Cylinder.
This all metal unit demonstrates the principles of buoyancy and displacement.  The cylinder fits into the cup exactly.  The whole unit can be hung from a spring scale and weighed.  This unit can then be lowered into a container of water and the reduction weight noted.  Experiments prove that the weight loss equals the weight of the water displaced. Instructions included

#1506  Archimedes's Apparatus.
Demonstrates buoyancy and displacement in a way that makes it easy for students to visualize and understand.  This set consists of a cylinder with a closely fitted matching plug.  The assembled unit is weighted using the large spring scale.  The unit is lowered into water and the weight reduction noted.  The displaced water is poured into the cylinder to prove that the water's weigt equals the displaced weight.  Comes with cylinder and plug assembly, overflow reservoir, and large spring scale.  The support stand is not included.  Instructions provided.

#1600 Pascal Vase, Glass Parts Only

#1600-1  Pascal Vase, Complete with Support Stand.
Three different shaped vessels with bottom openings of equal diameter are provided.  Water is poured into the vessel and at the point of equilibrium the disc falls off.  The depth of water will be the same regardless of the shape. Instructions included.

#1602 Pressures Syringe.
Demonstrates that pressure is transmitted uniformly in all directions.  Unit consists of 2" diameter glass bulb and plunger. The bulb has a series of holes in a plane.  When pressure is applied to the plunger water is expelled at an equal distance in all directions.  Instructions included.

#1873 Steam Generator.
A useful accessory for many experiments involving thermal energy. Constructed of a heavy gauge aluminum.  Consists of a boiler, sample cup, tripod and two rubber stoppers with and  without hole.  The boiler is 100mm diameter x 170mm height, the stand measures 240mm in height.

#2001 Tantalus Cup, Intermittent Siphon Demonstration.
Consists of a glass cup and base with U-tube.  Siphon action is initiated by pouring water into the cup to a level above the tube.  Water flows from the cup until the level drops below the tube.  Instructions included.

The 1/2" thick vacuum plate was designed to fit any jar 8-1/2" O.D. or smaller.  A rubber gasket is also included.

Hand Vacuum Pump

#2201 Venturi Tube.
A  glass tube 7"" long and 3/4"" in diameter with a constriction at the center, and three vertical tubes.  When manometers are attached to the three openings the lower pressure at the constriction becomes evident.  A verification of Bernoulli's principle.  Instructions included.

#1821 Viscosity Tube Demonstration Apparatus.
The viscosity of four different liquids can be visually compared.  Each tube contains different weight fluid and a 3/8" plated steel ball.  The balls are lifted just above the line on the tube with a magnet and then released.  Students compare the time it takes for the balls to fall.  Liquids not included.  Instructions provided.
