#101 Projection Air Table
Use this miniature air table with any suitable air source to demonstrate
the random movement of molecules. Made of clear acrylic, this unit can
be set on an overhead projector and projected so everyone in the room can
observe the movement. The molecules are colored disks with mounted
magnets. The magnets cause each disk to repel it's neighbor and thus
creates an almost continuous motion.

#797 Air Track and Accessories.
This is one of the most useful pieces of apparatus that a physics class
could have. This air track allows one to four carts to ride along
on a cushion of air, practically eliminating friction. High precision
pulleys are included to mount on the ends for performing free falling and
incline experiments. Spring bumpers can be attached to record impact
forces and weights can be attached to each cart for studying momentum and
many other phenomena's involving force. The air source is not included.
The unit can be used with our photogates and digital timer (recommended)
and our quiet air source.

#1600-4 Ballistic Pendulum Apparatus. (Shock Pendulum Apparatus)
The unit uses a nylon pendulum with a tapered rubber insert.
Both pendulum and base have leveling screws. The spring loaded gun
has a self locking trigger and rubber bumper to prevent damage on impact.
The scale is marked in degrees and is registered by a counter weighted
needle that remains in place at the height of the arc. Instructions provided.

Demonstrates that the forward velocity of a ball ejected vertically
is the same as the forward velocity of the vehicle from which it was ejected.
Includes a vertical spring loaded barrel and a 1"" diameter steel ball.
The ejection mechanism has two settings which are controlled by a release

#1889 Horizontal Cast and Collision Tester.
Here is a unique way to study horizontal and vertical motion, conservation
of energy, and momentum. A track mounted to a vertical board directs
one or two carts, casting them into a free fall. A brush projecting
from the back side of the carts, marks the path of the cart as it falls.
Weights can be added to the carts to study the effects of increased mass
on momentum.

#798 Impact Car.
What better way to study the momentum changes of varying mass than
with a visual measure of it's force. The impact car is equipped with
a spring scale and slide that is displaced on impact against a wall or
similar obstacle. This slide remains in it's displaced positioned
until reset. The student rolls the car down the ramp, and measures
the impact. Next, more mass is added inside the car and the experiment
is repeated. The student can take direct readings from the scale
to measure the increasing force. Instructions provided.
#811 Friction on an Incline Plane.
This simple device is useful in studying friction and the varying degrees
of friction in relation to an incline. The unit is made of smooth
wood with a metal pulley attached to the incline and a large protractor
for accurately recording the angle of incline. Three different sized
boards with eyehooks are also included for study of how displacement, surface
contact, and weight affect frictional forces. Instructions provided.

A 3/4"" ball rests on a cardboard square lying on a vertical post.
When a spring is released it shoots the square out and the ball falls into

#1477 Second Law of Motion, Economy, Aluminum.
When clamped firmly to a table, the apparatus demonstrates that gravity
has the same effect on a projectile as on a body falling vertically.
One ball is ejected horizontally while another is dropped at the same instance;
both strike the floor at the same time. The flexible 1 inch wide
steel strap is 18 inches long and has a cross bar at one end to hold two
3/4 inch steel balls which are also provided. Instructions included.
#2008 Acceleration, Spark Timer.
This apparatus is used for determining the rate of acceleration in
a falling weight, calculating the speed of a moving cart or studying the
forces of friction. A paper strip is pulled through the timer while
a spark at a very precise interval is created which burns tiny dots into
the paper strip as it passes. The faster the strip passes through
the sparks the larger distance between dots. It is easy then for
the student to calculate the rate of speed for acceleration. As an
added benefit, everything on the spark timer is enclosed for safety.
