* #1207series The Electronic Design Line (EDL).
Modular units offer infinite possibilities into the world of hands-on electrical experiments.  Each unit can be used independently or in conjunction with other units to create exciting, visual demonstrations.  Instructions are provided for each module, plus the EDL Packs are supplied with special instruction booklets containing instructions for collective experiments.

#1207-1 EDL Power Board.
The base of all the EDL units is electrical power.  You can supply your own or use this convenient D. C. power unit for supplying 3, 6 or 9 volt D.C. current.

#1207-2 EDL Lamp & Switch.
This is a SPST knife switch that opens and closed the circuit of a 3 or 6 volt lamp.

#1207-3 EDL Motor & Reversible Switch.
This 3 volt D. C. motor can be used with many mechanical-electrical experiments or used in conjunction with the reversible switch.  Thrown one way the motor will run clockwise and thrown the other way the motor will run counter clockwise.  The switch can also be used independently in other experiments.

#1207-4 EDL Heat & Magnetic Switch.
The thermostat on this unit can be used to either open or close a circuit by heat.  The magnetic switch has normally open contacts that close when a magnet is brought near.

#1207-5 EDL Transformer.
This mounted transformer is designed to demonstrate how voltage can be either stepped up or down.  Input voltage must be either A.C. or pulsating D.C. current.  You can use your own power supply or try the EDL Electromagnetic Solenoid and Pulsator.

#1207-6 EDL Electromagnetic Solenoid & Pulsator.
Illustrate electromagnetism and polarity.  Connect the spring arm and contacts for constructing a working relay or use this item to pulsate D.C. current so that it can be used in an A.C. transformer such as the EDL Transformer.

#1207-7 EDL Resistance Set.
Use an ohm meter to demonstrate the difference in resistance or to teach the standard color code of resistors.  Hook up the potentiometer for a variable resistance ranging from 0 to 150,000 ohms.  This unit can also be incorporated into many of your own experiments as well as used in several EDL experiments such as a solar alarm using the EDL Buzzer and Contact Switch and EDL Solar Cell.

#1207-8 EDL Buzzer & Contact Switch.
This unit can be used for many experiments requiring a 6 volt buzzer or a momentary closed switch.  By supplying power, you can hook the key switch to the buzzer to create a sounding device for practicing Morse code.  You can also connect two units together to send Morse code to each other.

#1207-9 EDL Connector Wires.  Pk of 12.
These insulated wires with stripped ends are perfect for all EDL experiments. Wires are 18 gauge solid copper, 12" long.

#1207-10 EDL Explorer Pack.
Contains 1 each of :  Power Board, Solar Cell, Motor and Reversible Switch, Buzzer and Contact Switch, and Resistance Set.  This unit also contains 1 pkg. Of EDL Connector Wires and Instruction Booklet for the following:  Solar Driven Motor, a Solar Alarm, Morse Code Transmitter, Light Dimmer, Reversible Motor and more.

#1207-11 EDL Designer Pack.
Contains 1 each of:  Power Board, Lamp and Switch, Transformer, Electronic Solenoid and Pulsator, Heat and Magnetic Switch plus 12 connector wires.  Some of the experiments explained in the instruction booklet are: stepping up voltage using a transformer, thermostat controlled light, electronic locks, electromagnets, and a working relay.

#1207-12 EDL Engineering Pack.
Contains both the #1207-10 and the #1207-11 plus an advance work booklet.

#1207-13 EDL Solar Cell.
This solar cell can be used independently to create .5 volt 300 mA or with other solar cells to produce greater voltage.  This solar cell will run the motor on the EDL Motor and Reversible Switch.  You could use it in conjunction with the EDL Buzzer and Contact Switch and the EDL Resistance Set to Build a Solar Alarm.

1207-14 EDL Demonstration Fuse.
Simple and visual. This EDL consists of two clips in which a piece of steel wool is stretched.  When excess voltage is applied to the fahnstock clips the steel wool instantly burns, which opens the circuit.  The distance between the clips can be varied as well as the number of strands of steel wool, thus changing the fuses voltage rating.

#1207-15 EDL Galvanometer
Many test circuits need some sort of visual indicator.  This meter is built from a high quality, liquid dampening compass.  This gives you a smooth, steady, reading that is easy to compare.  Quick connections are made via fahnstock clips.

#1207-16 EDL Multi-Push Button Switch.
Five normally open push button switches are mounted on the EDL module board.  Several projects can be controlled at the same time with this one unit.  Each switch has its own fahnstock connectors.  In addition, a conductor pin is provided to be used as a common ground for all switches, if needed.

#1207-17 EDL Digit Display.
Bring a little high tech to your project with this large LED number display.  Capable of displaying numerals 0 to 9 using only two volts DC.  Each leg of the display has its own fahnstock clips for quick and easy connection.
